Last Hitting

Let me explain something people have a very hard time wrapping their brains around. Last hitting is important. It is the most important part of early game. If you do not know how to last hit, you will lose. If you don’t last hit, you lose gold, xp, and you push your lane. It is counter-intuitive, I know, it really is! But let’s take a look at auto-attacking.



You are never not doing anything.

You can lifesteal like a mofo.

You will be in a better position to kill a tower.


You might miss last hits.

People can tower dive you with impunity.

Your auto-attack might not be up when you need it.

Pushing the lane makes you vulnerable to ganks.

You will never have more than 2 waves of minions at a tower to help you.

If you can’t last hit well, practice. Use the S key to stop auto-attacking as a ranged character.

Last Hit Workout Routine

1. Grab Nasus, go into a custom game, and try ONLY to last hit. Use his Q to last hit. Do this for 20 minutes, then surrender or push to Nexus. 10 push-ups.

2. As 1, but add one bot  (you are allowed to harass and kill the bot). 25 sit-ups.

3. As 1, but play any melee character other than Nasus. 15 push-ups.

4. As 1, but play any melee character WITHOUT using skills. 30 sit-ups.

5. As 1, but play any ranged character. 10 push-ups, immediately followed by 20 sit-ups.

Increase quantity of exercises and creep kills in increments of 5 all around. This workout is guaranteed to give you the biceps and gold farm you need for a better body and mind.
