So recently, I’ve been on a winning streak in my solo queuing, and I wanted to have a little chat about some of the things that I think have contributed.  I’ve changed the way I play, the champions I play, and the manner in which I approach games.  However, I’m by no means an expert, so I’d like to hear what you all have to say as well.  Leave your thoughts on winning techniques in the comments, along with some of your all-time best successes and worst failures.

What’s up Lol no elo readers. Missed a few days there, but that ain’t nothing new. Today I’m here to talk about a theory that I have been at least partially convinced of. Here it is: Your level of game play is directly tied to how well you farm. Every champion needs to get gold, and the most predominant source of which is farming.  If you want to get better at this game, work on your farm. (more…)

Part 1 of how to play Summoner’s Rift, in flowchart form.

Malzahar does not have infinite mana. He is just like every other AP carry. So, Junglers give him blue buff if you want him to win his lane and carry you to victory.

Status of Mid: Overly Dominant AP Carries?

As of the date of this article being posted, AP carries have now become “standard”, “normal”, or “meta” (for you, meta meta meta scumbags). It’s quite rare that we see any AD carries such as Ashe, whom has always been quite weak at mid, but took it because of the farm potential and sadistically enjoy getting picked on by nearly every champion in the laning phase. There’s a reason for choosing AP carries over AD carries for the most part nowadays. AP carries tend to have more tools and power in the laning phase and mid game due to how they mechanically function (they use abilities). While they will not have the ridiculously late game scaling as an AD carry, most AP carries can take advantage of the mid lane farm because they can exert far more pressure and danger to their opponents. I mean, look at some of these mid lane AP carry champions: (more…)

Pushing Power: The potential new meta

Posted: August 21, 2011 by qqwerthy in Champions, General, Laning, Metagame

So meta changes all the time. Everyday old champions no one used are added back into rotation when someone tries something new with them that blows people away. Meta also changes because of Riot, with their patches, hotfixes, reworks, and new champion additions.

Well if you haven’t read it here’s a recent post by Riot, stating that they want to change the way sustain ability and healing works. Essentially nerfing it into the ground because it makes a boring farm fest for the first 20 minutes.

But if there is one thing I know about gamers it is that they hate developers and being told how to play the game. So I anticipate them coming up with clever ways to farm for 20 minutes and still be boring as all hell.
